Create ZIP

Put a bunch of files into one ZIP for email or upload. Folders keep their structure.

Private by design. Your files are processed on this device and never uploaded. No account, no watermark, no limits.

How to use Create ZIP

  1. Drop files (or a folder on desktop browsers)
  2. Name the archive and pick the compression level
  3. Click Create ZIP and download

About this tool

ZIP archives are built with fflate, a fast open-source compression library. Images, videos and PDFs are already compressed, so zipping them mostly bundles rather than shrinks them; text, CSV and documents often shrink by 60–90%.

Frequently asked questions

Can I password-protect the ZIP?

Not yet. To protect a document, use Protect PDF, which uses strong AES-256 encryption.

Why didn’t my ZIP get much smaller?

JPG, PNG, MP4 and PDF files are already compressed. ZIP shrinks text-based files the most.

Is there a size limit?

Only your device’s memory. Archives of a few GB work on most computers.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertBrightly processes files with JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing is sent over the network, and the files disappear when you close the tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
