Frequently asked questions
Does cropping lower the quality?
No. Cropping keeps the remaining pixels exactly as they were. Saving as JPG re-encodes at the quality you choose (92% by default).
Can I crop on my phone?
Yes. Drag inside the box to move it and drag the corners to resize it with your finger.
Can I crop several images at once?
Cropping needs a selection per image, so this tool works on one image at a time. To crop a batch to the same ratio, use the Social Media Resizer.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. ConvertBrightly processes files with JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing is sent over the network, and the files disappear when you close the tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
