About this tool
Instagram shows the newest post at the top left, so to build a mosaic you post the bottom-right tile first. Files are named in posting order (01 is posted first). The image is center-cropped to the grid’s shape so nothing gets stretched. Since 2025 the Instagram profile grid shows taller 3:4 thumbnails; choose 3:4 tiles for a seamless grid, 4:5 to match the feed post size, or 1:1 for a classic square layout.
Frequently asked questions
In what order should I post the tiles?
Post 01 first and the highest number last. The last tile you post becomes the top-left of the mosaic.
What size are the tiles?
1080×1080 px for square, 1080×1350 px for 4:5 and 1080×1440 px for 3:4.
Can I split images for other uses?
Yes. Choose custom rows and columns to cut any image into equal pieces.
Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. ConvertBrightly processes files with JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing is sent over the network, and the files disappear when you close the tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
