  1. Drop your photos
  2. Check the detected faces: click a box to include or skip it, or drag on the photo to add a box
  3. Pick Blur or Pixelate, the strength and shape, then click Blur faces and download

About this tool

Faces are detected with Google’s MediaPipe Face Detector (BlazeFace, Apache-2.0), which runs in your browser using WebAssembly; the detector and its model are served from our own site, so nothing is uploaded. Group photos are scanned at several zoom levels so smaller faces are found too. Each detected face gets a box that you can switch off, and you can drag to add boxes for faces in profile, far away or partly hidden.

For real anonymity, use Pixelate at high strength, and check every face before sharing: automatic detection can miss faces that are turned away, very small or covered.

Frequently asked questions

Will it find every face?

It finds most front-facing and slightly turned faces. Profiles, tiny or covered faces can be missed, so add boxes for those by hand.

Can I keep some faces visible?

Yes. Click a box to skip that face.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. Detection and blurring happen on your device.

Does it work on many photos at once?

Yes. Faces are detected in each photo; you can review any of them before processing.

Are my files uploaded to a server?

No. ConvertBrightly processes files with JavaScript inside your browser. Nothing is sent over the network, and the files disappear when you close the tab. You can even disconnect from the internet after the page loads.
